This Plug-In makes the creation of external links even easier. With this Plug-In, you can upload, connect, or browse for documents or similar items that you want to connect to a registered item within CentraSite.

External links can be created by either browsing the file system or the repository. If selecting files from the file system, the Plug-In will ask if the file also should be uploaded to the repository.

 

CentraSite Community Edition, CentraSite Enterprise Edition. We recommend you use this Plug-In with Firefox or other Gecko-based browsers.

 

Unzip into the file and save in, “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Software AG\Tomcat\v5.5\webapps\PluggableUI” folder.

 

After installing, you should have a folder, ”C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Software AG\Tomcat\v5.5\webapps\PluggableUI\SAGSUtilities” that includes everything you need.

 

You will now need to restart your Tomcat server. To do this, go to Control Panel, click on Admin Tools, then click on Services, and then double click to open up, “Software AG Common Tomcat”. Lastly, select the “Restart Service” button to restart the Tomcat server.

 

Once installed, the new ”Add External Link” functionality will show up as a icon in the detailed view toolbar on an object or in the context menu when selecting a object.

The screen shot below shows the window you when you have selected, "Add External Link". The next step is click on the browse button (Durchsuchen).

 

 

To create an external link to a resource, click on the relevant resource. The screen shot below shows the selection of the, "Santa Fe Stucco" as the link chosen.

 

 

The screen shot below shows the field with the link chosen. Click the "Add" and a link to CentraSite will now be added.
