CentraSite EE SCA Plug-In
 
The benefits of this Plug-In
This Plug-In adds to CentraSite Control the ability to import WebSphere 6.0 JEE application archives (.ear files), extracting SCA, BPEL, and WSDL definitions.
This Plug-In includes a CentraSite archive with definitions reflecting the concepts of Service Component Architecture (SCA) and a sample archive and a sample report.

Technical Requirements
CentraSite Community Edition, CentraSite Enterprise Edition.
 
How to Install
  1. Login to the Pluggable UI by replacing PLUGIN=com.centrasite.control with PLUGIN=com.softwareag.cis.plugin in the URL you use for starting CentraSite Control.
  2. Click on the Install Plug-in button at the left of the toolbar.
  3. In the Select Plug-In dialog, browse to the plugin archive (ImportSCA.zip) and choose OK to start the installation.
  4. Start CentraSite Control as usual; "Import SCA Module" command should now be available as an additional entry when you click on the icon "Import...".
  5. In order to work the plug-in needs the SCA object types. In order to import everything necessary click on the button "Import..." on the toolbar and select "Import Archive" from the popup window.
  6. Navigate to the archive with the type definitions Package-SCATypes.zip  and click "Import" to import the definitions.
  7. (Only supported with Enterprise Edition) One small manual modification of the BPELProcess object type is required. Select the Registry tab on the left pane, expand the entry ObjectTypes and right-click on BPELProcess. Select "Modify Type" from the context menu. On the page that appears in the main view, select "Next" to proceed to the  next screen and tick on "Allowed" in the area "Object specific properties". Confirm with "Finish" at the bottom of the page.
  8. Select the Repository Tab  and navigate to "CentraSite Repository/projects" and create two new folders, named "EARApplication" and "Java" by right-clicking on "projects" and selecting "New Folder".
  9. Import the sample report using Import>import Report and navigating to SCAComponentInventory.rptdesign.
 
To use:
You can now import .ear files created with WebSphere 6.0 to extract the SCA component definitions using the new Import SCA Module command available in the import menu:

A separate command, Resolve References, is used after importing several archives to look up the usage associations.
Run the sample report using the Execute command.  It will show a list of all composites, processes, and references.
